Seasonal Part-Time Associate
About The Position
The Seasonal Part-Time Associate at TJ Maxx is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; promotes credit and loyalty programs; handles customer purchases and returns; processes merchandise for the sales floor; and helps maintain merchandising, cleanliness, recovery, and safety standards. The associate also supports shrink-reduction efforts, follows labor laws and company procedures, and completes other duties as assigned. This is a seasonal, part-time position at the TJ Maxx store at 4960 W 111th Street in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The starting pay range is USD $15.00 to $15.50 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
