About The Position

As a Retail Associate, you serve as a Columbia Sportswear brand ambassador and help create exceptional in-store experiences through positive customer interactions. You use problem-solving and sales skills to answer customer questions, recommend products, and support customer service and teamwork. Associates also help ensure product availability, maintain visual displays, assist with checkout, and support the Store Leadership team in advancing the company’s mission of connecting active people with their passions.

Requirements

• Be 16 years of age or older.
• Have 2 or fewer years of experience in a position or specialization.
• Have skill operating inventory and point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail software tools.
• Be able to communicate clearly with others.
• Be available to work a flexible retail schedule that may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer questions about product features, benefits, and availability, and learn about customer needs and preferences.
• Demonstrate and explain merchandise and recommend suitable options to customers.
• Maintain visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards in the store.
• Retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations.
• Process sales, returns, exchanges, and loyalty program transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Receive, handle, replenish, and process incoming and outgoing products accurately and efficiently.
