About The Position
Cipriani & Werner P.C. is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Associate to join its growing New York Workers’ Compensation Group. The associate will research and analyze legal issues, draft legal documents, represent clients in proceedings, and collaborate with senior attorneys on cases. The role includes managing client relationships and a caseload with supervision while maintaining billable hours as necessary. The position is remote.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-approved law school.
- Active license in good standing in Massachusetts and New York.
- At least 1 year of Massachusetts Workers’ Compensation experience.
- Self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management and strong organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to work as a team member in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
- Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases.
- Maintain billable hours as necessary.
- Manage client relationships and a caseload with supervision.
- Assist in representing clients in motion practice, conferences, mediations, and trial when and where necessary.
