About The Position

CityVet Capitol Hill is seeking an Associate Veterinarian for its hybrid general practice and urgent care hospital in Denver, Colorado. Led by Dr. Heather Newett, the collaborative team sees a varied caseload, with approximately 50% urgent care and the remainder including primary care, wellness, dentistry, and surgery. The hospital accommodates same-day procedures, drop-offs, walk-ins, and unexpected cases. DVMs typically see 12–15 patients per day in 30-minute appointments, with dedicated surgery days and approximately 4–6 procedures on those days. The facility includes seven exam rooms, including a designated cat room; a large central treatment area; a spacious surgery suite; private dog and cat wards; and a dedicated isolation ward. Equipment includes digital dental radiography, ultrasound, cautery, therapeutic laser, Zoetis analyzers, Imagyst, and in-house cPL. MOVES specialists in cardiology, surgery, and oncology are also available. The clinic offers 15-minute technician appointments. CityVet welcomes veterinarians with varied backgrounds and experience levels, including new graduates. Dr. Newett is interested in mentoring a new graduate eager to develop clinical and surgical skills. Compensation includes a guaranteed base salary of $110,000–$120,000, a progressive compensation model with no ceiling, and production commission of up to 28% with no negative accrual. Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent.
Licensed to practice in Colorado or eligible for licensure.
Collaborative spirit and commitment to exceptional patient care.
Interest in general practice and/or urgent care medicine.
