About The Position
Spencer Animal Hospital is seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join our AAHA-accredited small animal and exotic general practice in Pasadena, Texas. Whether you're an experienced veterinarian or a new graduate seeking mentorship, you'll enjoy practicing high-quality medicine with a collaborative, supportive team. The hospital is a well-respected institution with deep community roots, founded in 1974 and continuing its legacy of compassionate, high-quality veterinary care. The practice offers a rewarding mix of wellness, preventive care, surgery, dentistry, laser therapy, dermatology, and exotic animal medicine, providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for dogs, cats, exotic pets, and small farm animals. The recently renovated 3,100-square-foot hospital features four exam rooms, a dedicated surgical suite, and a spacious treatment area.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college
- Active Texas veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain)
- Current DEA and TX BNDD License (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities
- Practicing high-quality medicine
- Providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for dogs, cats, exotic pets, and small farm animals
- Performing wellness, preventive care, surgery, dentistry, laser therapy, and dermatology
- Mentoring new graduates or veterinarians interested in exotic animal medicine
