About The Position

Payson Family Pet Hospital is seeking an Urgent Care/Emergency Veterinarian to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to practice in an established, well-equipped hospital with a supportive team and the resources to provide high-quality care. The AAHA-accredited, 11-doctor practice has a strong team culture, experienced support staff, and the resources to fully work up and manage urgent and emergency cases in-house. The recently expanded hospital, remodeled in 2021, includes 11 exam rooms, dedicated surgical and dental suites, an ICU, and a large treatment area. With over 55 support staff members, including multiple CVTs, the veterinarian will have the team and resources to focus on patient care.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or equivalent)
• Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in Utah
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to high-quality veterinary medicine
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is preferred, though veterinarians with strong general practice experience ready to take the next step are considered.

Responsibilities

• Fully work up, hospitalize, and manage urgent and emergency cases in-house
• Practice high-level medicine with a diverse and challenging caseload
• Collaborate with a team of 11 veterinarians
• Utilize advanced diagnostics, including ultrasound and echocardiography
