Bond Vet•New York, NY
•$125,000 - $135,000

About The Position

The Associate Veterinarian will participate in the 2027 MADE (Mentorship, Advancement, Development, and Education) program, a structured, supportive six-month program for recent or upcoming veterinary graduates. The program is designed to develop clinical and communication skills through a dedicated mentor, a gradually increasing caseload, and support from the broader veterinary network. It is a competitive program with a limited number of places. Participants learn primary and acute care, complex medical workups with long-term follow-up, foundational dentistry, and spay/neuter surgery. Training also includes RECOVER CPR certification, point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS), monthly case rounds, and knowledge assessments. Communication training covers explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and estimates compassionately; handling difficult conversations; and coordinating effectively with the care team. Successful participants are expected to manage a full primary and acute care caseload, perform routine spay/neuter and Stage 1-2 dental procedures independently, communicate clearly with clients and colleagues, and build strong working relationships with their mentor, practice team, and the wider DVM network.
