About The Position

Rocky Point Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate and motivated Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative team in Rocky Point, North Carolina, just outside Wilmington. The role offers a diverse caseload and opportunities to provide high-quality veterinary care while developing clinical skills and interests. Services include wellness and preventive care, soft tissue surgery and more advanced procedures, dentistry and oral surgery, internal medicine and diagnostics, urgent and same-day medical care, and care for dogs, cats, and potbellied pigs. A visiting board-certified veterinary surgeon offers opportunities for collaboration and exposure to advanced surgical cases.

The veterinarian will work with experienced veterinary professionals in a supportive environment focused on communication, collaboration, personalized patient care, and lasting client relationships. The hospital welcomes both experienced veterinarians and newer graduates. There are no weekend hours.

Requirements

• DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary program.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in North Carolina.
• Passion for compassionate, high-quality veterinary care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive wellness and preventive veterinary care.
• Perform or provide veterinary services in areas including soft tissue surgery, dentistry and oral surgery, internal medicine, diagnostics, and urgent and same-day care.
• Care for a variety of patients, including dogs, cats, and potbellied pigs.
• Build lasting client relationships and provide personalized patient care.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team and contribute to a positive hospital culture.
• Continue developing clinical skills and interests.
