About The Position

IndeVets is seeking a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Washington, DC. This role offers a unique approach to veterinary medicine, prioritizing veterinarian wellbeing by providing a sustainable career path with control over one's schedule and guaranteed income. As a part-time W-2 veterinarian working 1-3 days per week, you will earn a guaranteed salary with a schedule you control, built in advance by a dedicated scheduling coordinator. IndeVets handles scheduling, logistics, and coordination, allowing veterinarians to focus on practicing medicine. The role offers the option to earn more by picking up additional shifts, which can be paid out or converted into additional PTO. Veterinarians will practice across a variety of trusted hospital settings, gaining diverse clinical experience while maintaining the support and stability of a single employer. The position emphasizes clinical autonomy with no production quotas, no negative accrual, and no restrictive non-competes. Veterinarians will have dedicated medical leadership, mentorship, and a collaborative community, including access to a veterinary social worker. Ongoing CE and professional development opportunities are also provided.

Requirements

• DVM or VMD from an AVMA-accredited program (or equivalent)
• Active license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA + controlled substance license (as applicable)
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a small animal setting
• Confidence practicing independently
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
