About The Position

Mebane Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian (DVM) with a strong interest and skill set in surgery to join their growing practice. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys being hands-on in the surgical suite as much as in the exam room, and who's looking to make a real impact on a well-established hospital's surgical capacity. The hospital is a leading, trusted small animal practice dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate care to the Mebane community and surrounding areas, including Carrboro, Efland, and Burlington. They are looking for a veterinarian with strong surgical skills and confidence to join their team and take a lead role in their surgical caseload.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent)
  • Licensed or eligible for veterinary licensure in North Carolina
  • Demonstrated surgical proficiency and comfort with a variety of soft tissue procedures

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of surgical procedures, including routine soft tissue surgeries, with opportunity to expand caseload complexity based on skill and interest
  • Provide comprehensive general practice (GP) medical care, including physical exams, diagnostics, and treatment plans
  • Utilize in-house diagnostics, including digital imaging, to guide surgical and treatment decisions
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding surgical recommendations and outcomes
  • Maintain accurate medical and surgical records
  • Collaborate closely with support staff to ensure efficient surgical scheduling and patient flow
