About The Position

Chimacum Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-accredited, Cat Friendly Certified, and Fear Free certified team. The hospital provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for small animals, with the capacity to serve avian and exotic patients, and an interest in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. A comprehensive mentoring program is available for newly licensed veterinarians, tailored to individual needs, with support from experienced DVMs and staff. The hospital emphasizes a positive culture, open communication, and Nonviolent Communication practices. They are looking for both full-time and part-time veterinarians to fill their clinic hours, which run Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Appointment times are 30 minutes with a 90-minute midday break. Local emergency services handle overnight concerns, eliminating on-call duties. Flexible vacation time is offered, with many associates enjoying 4 or more weeks per year. Compensation includes a flexible pay package (salary, Pro-Sal, or production) with a competitive wage, signing bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements

• DVM or equivalent
• Washington License to practice Veterinary medicine (Required)
• Eagerness to fill a part-time or full-time position
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients
