About The Position
Quality Veterinary Care, a well-established small-animal practice in Elmont, New York, is seeking a dedicated Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to build strong client relationships, practice high-quality medicine, and enjoy an exceptional work–life balance. The practice is well-equipped with digital radiography, in-house labs, dental radiography, ultrasound, and more. We offer flexible scheduling, no on-call or overnight shifts, and competitive compensation with benefits. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care, build meaningful relationships with clients, educate them on preventative care, and work alongside a skilled support team. This role also involves helping to shape the practice’s future through collaboration and fresh ideas.
Requirements
- Full Time OR Part Time Experienced Veterinarian
- Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator
- Proficient in general medicine and surgery
- Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an AVMA accredited university
- Current DEA License or obtained upon hire
- Active Veterinary State License
- USDA Accreditation or obtained upon hire
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care.
- Build meaningful relationships with clients and educate them on preventative care.
- Work alongside a skilled support team dedicated to patient comfort and client satisfaction.
- Help shape our practice’s future through collaboration and fresh ideas.
- Develop a relationship with our clients and partner with them to deliver the highest quality patient care possible.
- Treat each pet individually to minimize stress, anxiety or discomfort.
- Stay up-to-date with innovative and emerging veterinary medications, procedures, treatments, protocols and equipment.
- Collaborate and function as a team within the hospital.
- Help to continue developing the support team.
- Treat every client like family and each patient like their own pet.
