About The Position

Hazel Ridge Veterinary Clinic, a small animal practice serving Fair Oaks, California for over 40 years, is seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian. This role is for 2 days/20 hours per week and offers the opportunity to practice high-quality medicine in a collaborative and supportive environment. The clinic emphasizes compassionate care and exceptional medicine, treating clients and team members like family. It is suitable for both experienced veterinarians and early-career DVMs looking to grow. The practice combines a neighborhood feel with modern tools and support, featuring 30-minute appointments (40 minutes for complex cases), an average of 12-14 appointments per day, dedicated technician support for each veterinarian, and two experienced RVTs assisting on surgery days. The hospital is paperless, recently refreshed, and well-equipped with four exam rooms, a surgical suite, digital radiology, dental radiology, ultrasound capabilities, a treatment area, and separate dog, cat, and isolation wards. The clinic does not offer boarding or grooming, focusing solely on medical care. They partner with local specialists, including a cardiologist, board-certified surgeon, and radiologist, to provide advanced patient care and maintain continuity. The experienced and collaborative team values teamwork, communication, and a healthy work-life balance while delivering outstanding veterinary medicine. Hazel Ridge Veterinary Clinic is also committed to community involvement, partnering with organizations like River City Cat Rescue and Sierra Wildlife Rescue to support local rescue efforts.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
