About the position
The job overview for this role is that Celonis is seeking an Associate Value Engineer to join their team. As an Associate Value Engineer, you will be part of the Global VE Center of Excellence and will work on the intersection of technology and business. Your role will involve partnering with sales and customers to create solutions and prototypes within the Celonis software to address critical business problems. This is a 12-month program designed to provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to develop essential VE skills and competencies.
Responsibilities
- Consult with customers and end users to uncover their core business challenges and determine how Celonis EMS can help them achieve their objectives
- Modify existing Celonis applications or create new ones using Vertica SQL and PQL to provide solutions to customer process pain
- Execute proof projects by developing within the Celonis platform to showcase the value of Celonis EMS for customers' strategy, business initiatives, needs, and challenges
- Review technical components of Celonis IT architecture with customers
- Collaborate with customers and partners to design and build solutions in the Celonis EMS that drive value realization and ensure a positive return on investment
- Build strong relationships with customers by acting as a trusted advisor with technical and product expertise
- Frame the strategic and quantitative business value Celonis will bring to customers' organizations and deliver presentations to senior executives
- Work with the implementation services team to ensure customer value is realized post-sale
- Monitor and create success plans for customers and manage customer renewals
- Collaborate with internal Product and Engineering teams to provide customer feedback and influence product innovation
- Create re-usable collateral, best practices, and tools within the Global VE Center of Excellence and share them with the regional Value Engineering team.
Requirements
- Degree in Data Analytics, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a comparable STEM degree program
- Extensive internship or at least 1 year of work experience in data analytics involving specialized systems/software, or a comparable job
- Knowledge or hands-on experience in at least one of: SQL, R, Microsoft BI, Tableau, Python, or another data analytics software/programming language
- Passion for technology & big data and the impact it can have on the world
- Analytical and creative thinking skills, especially in applying technology solutions to core business problems
- Focus on creating and adding value for customers
- Ability to build relationships with senior management and influence decision-makers
- Confidence in presenting to audiences, including C-level executives
- Problem-solving mindset, willingness to think outside the box and learn from mistakes
- Curiosity, self-motivation, and enjoyment of continuous learning
