About The Position

As the Associate Technical Fellow, Fulfillment & Operations, you will translate business strategy and objectives into clear technology strategy, architecture, and technical direction across Best Buy's supply chain, fulfillment, and operational capabilities. You will build strong relationships with business and technology stakeholders, influencing decisions through effective communication and collaboration. This role requires deep expertise in supply chain and operational technology, enterprise modernization, and large-scale integrated business platforms. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology leaders, helping define the future architecture for critical fulfillment and operations capabilities. In this role, you'll primarily work virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location. However, you must live within a drivable distance to our corporate campus in Richfield, Minnesota. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale digital platforms
  • 10 years demonstrated expertise in application, data, integration, and infrastructure architecture
  • Deep knowledge of supply chain and operational business processes
  • 10 years of experience leading enterprise modernization initiatives involving legacy-to-modern technology transformation
  • 10 years of experience with service architectures, enterprise integrations, APIs, and data models
  • 5 years in Enterprise Architecture
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Large-scale retail, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution experience

Responsibilities

  • Own enterprise technology patterns and roadmaps across fulfillment and operations, including current-state assessments, future-state architecture, identified gaps, and modernization priorities.
  • Play a critical role on the Enterprise Architecture Review Board by evaluating proposed architectures and guiding alignment with enterprise strategy and standards
  • Partner with business, product, engineering, and supply chain leaders to define architecture direction and technology investments
  • Lead modernization efforts involving legacy platforms, service architectures, integrations, data models, and operational systems
  • Establish architecture patterns that improve scalability, integration, operational efficiency, and business agility across fulfillment capabilities
  • Coach and mentor engineering teams while serving as the chief architect for a major business domain
