About The Position
Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. is seeking Associate Teachers to implement educational activities and maintain a classroom atmosphere that promotes school readiness and developmentally appropriate practices for 3 and 4-year-old children. The Associate Teacher will assist the Head Start Teacher in planning and carrying out educational activities in accordance with National Head Start Program Performance Standards and local plans. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week on a school schedule from August to June, with an established summer break. The position requires current, valid Background Clearances and proof of education.
Requirements
- AS, Early Childhood Education, CDA credential; or HS Diploma with obtaining a CDA or AA degree within 2 years of hire or placement
- Current, valid Background Clearances (3)
- Proof of education required to meet the qualifications for position

Responsibilities
