Requirements

  • High School or GED.
  • 1 - 2 years Health care or materials management experience.
  • Good communication (both oral and written), organization, detail oriented, customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency and accuracy in calculating inventory.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine clerical duties including handling incoming messages, establishing and maintaining files, preparing routine correspondence, administering standardized projects, and completing assigned duties.
  • Processes all fax and phone orders for supplies, including priority orders.
  • Maintains necessary lists and records.
  • Files delivery documents, packing slips, and daily reports.
  • Keeps an ongoing list of requisitions processed.
  • Greets visitors and promptly attends to their requests.
  • Takes incoming phone and fax messages and relays them to the appropriate person.
  • Distributes incoming mail.
  • Responds to issues that may cause problems and/or refers issues through the proper chain of command using the escalation policy.
  • Documents legibly.
  • Utilizes appropriate communication in all interactions.
  • Participates in activities contributing to the growth and development of self and colleagues.
  • Routinely supports coworkers in the accomplishment of daily activities and tasks necessary for meeting customer needs.
  • Assists team members as directed.
  • Participates in the orientation of new employees as needed.
  • Receives inventory into the HBOC materials management system and runs routine reports.
  • Adjusts inventory when necessary.
  • Generates manual and automated replenishment when necessary.
