About The Position

Saks OFF 5TH is a destination for off-price luxury fashion and part of Exemplar Luxury Group. The Sales Associate helps create a memorable customer experience and uphold the company’s reputation as a luxury-value destination. The role involves serving as a style advisor, building customer relationships, maintaining product knowledge, and supporting sales and clienteling efforts. Associates also help maintain merchandise presentation, store standards, and asset-protection procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a retail, customer service, or sales environment.
• Proven sales track record and a results-driven mindset.
• Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence.
• Ability to deliver a high standard of customer service and build strong customer relationships.
• Thorough knowledge of the fashion industry and a passion for sharing expertise.
• Ability to act promptly in routine situations and determine a clear course of action that leads to a positive customer outcome.
• Ability to operate radios, POS registers, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Recommend, select, and help customers locate or obtain merchandise based on their needs and preferences.
• Stay familiar with store inventory and provide customers with product knowledge.
• Greet customers and educate them about current promotions.
• Build customer relationships, encourage repeat business, and promote the Saks credit card.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the POS register system and follow checkout standards.
• Resolve customer issues in accordance with the company’s values of trust, integrity, and respect.
• Work toward individual and store goals for sales, customer acquisition, and loyalty-program participation.
• Maintain the selling floor and fitting rooms, including resizing fixtures, putting away go-backs, executing markdowns, and signing fixtures and windows as needed.
• Complete markdowns accurately and promptly according to company standards.
• Participate in store programs and selling events.
• Maintain merchandise displays in accordance with brand standards.
• Follow Asset Protection control and compliance procedures.
• Support the store’s shortage and theft-awareness program using company reporting methods.
• Complete tasks and special projects assigned by store leadership.
