About The Position

The Associate Selling role provides personalized customer service and supports sales performance at Saks OFF 5TH, an off-price luxury fashion retailer. The associate helps customers find merchandise, shares product and promotion knowledge, builds customer relationships, and contributes to sales, customer acquisition, and loyalty goals. The position also supports store operations, merchandise presentation, checkout, asset protection, and other tasks assigned by store leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a retail, customer service, or sales environment.
• Proven sales track record and results-driven mindset.
• Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence.
• Ability to provide a high standard of customer service and build exceptional customer relationships.
• Thorough knowledge of the fashion industry and passion for sharing expertise.
• Ability to respond promptly in routine situations and identify a clear plan of action that leads to a positive customer outcome.
• Ability to operate radios, POS registers, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and preferences.
• Stay familiar with store inventory and provide customers with product knowledge.
• Greet customers and inform them about current promotions.
• Build customer relationships, encourage repeat business, and promote the Saks credit card.
• Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS register system while following checkout standards.
• Resolve customer issues in accordance with the values of trust, integrity, and respect.
• Work toward individual and store goals for sales, customer acquisition, and loyalty program participation.
• Maintain the selling floor and fitting rooms, including resizing fixtures, putting away go-backs, executing markdowns, and signing fixtures and windows as needed.
• Complete markdowns promptly and accurately according to company standards.
• Participate in store programs and selling events.
• Maintain merchandise displays in compliance with brand standards.
• Follow asset protection control and compliance procedures.
• Support the store’s shortage and theft awareness program by using company reporting methods.
• Complete tasks and special projects assigned by store leadership.
