About The Position
Our client, a world leader in biotechnology and gene therapy, is looking for an Associate Scientist, Purification Process Development based in Oceanside, CA. Job Duration: Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension) Pay Rate : $45/hr on W2 Company Benefits: Medical, Paid Sick leave, 401K Seeking an Associate Scientist to support purification process development, characterization, scale-up, and technology transfer for biologics in pivotal and commercial development. The role involves hands-on laboratory work, process optimization, GMP manufacturing support, and collaboration with internal and external partners.
Requirements
- MS + 2 years or BS + 4 years of relevant experience in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or related discipline.
- Strong hands-on experience with biologics purification process development.

Responsibilities
- Design and execute purification process development and characterization studies.
- Perform laboratory-scale purification experiments and analyze experimental data.
- Support process scale-up, technology transfer, and implementation at internal and external GMP manufacturing facilities.
- Develop and document experimental protocols, reports, and electronic laboratory records.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing investigations and atypical events.
- Support purification platform development and evaluation of new technologies.
- Mentor junior team members on purification strategies, experimental design, and process transfer.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and external partners.
- Maintain laboratory operations, equipment, compliance, safety, and data integrity standards.
