Associate Sales Representative
About The Position
The Virginia Lottery is seeking an Associate Sales Representative for the Roanoke area. The Associate Sales Representative (ASR) Program is a one-year career development program designed specifically for college graduates who aspire to become sales leaders for the Virginia Lottery. This role enables you to advance your career rapidly by providing the training and resources needed to become successful in an industry-leading sales organization. During the first months of the program, ASR’s will expand their sales and business acumen, increase their technical knowledge and develop executive presentation skills, as well as learn about Lottery products. ASRs will have full business ownership of a defined territory. The ASR will learn using a unique variety of on-the-job training techniques which includes a blend of instructor-led and self-paced training. After successfully completing the program, ASRs will have an opportunity to apply and be promoted into a Sales Representative role where they can continue to grow in a rewarding career. A state vehicle will be provided.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Customer service experience
- Excellent technical skills
- Willingness to travel within the training hub for the duration of the program
Nice To Haves
- A 4-year degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or Communications from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience/training
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous sales experience
Responsibilities
