About The Position

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is hiring an early-career Associate Sales Engineer for its 48-week Associate Sales Engineering program. The position is onsite, with the expectation that the employee will primarily work from an HPE office. The Houston cohort requires relocation to Houston, Texas, with HPE-sponsored relocation support under applicable company policy. After completing the program, participants must remain willing to relocate to an available Sales Engineer position identified by HPE Networking field leadership; that position may be anywhere in the United States, and relocation is a condition of continued program participation. The program offers hands-on development in technical sales and networking. Working alongside experienced Sales Engineers, participants learn to understand customer requirements, networking and security constraints, and business priorities, then apply HPE Networking solutions to address them. The role is intended for someone with technical curiosity, communication skills, and an interest in building customer relationships; a computer science or engineering degree is not required. The program includes foundational Juniper Networks and HPE Aruba Networking training during the first 12 weeks, new-hire training, weekly hands-on labs and demonstration practice, biweekly mentoring, HPE Tech Jam, guest speakers, third-party pre-sales coaching through Mastering Technical Sales, and Sales Kick-Off participation. At program completion, participants will have developed foundational pre-sales capabilities and pursued certifications across the Juniper and Aruba technology portfolios. The position begins at Sales Engineer Level 1, with compensation based on the applicable Houston-based Associate Sales Engineer band. After completing the 48-week program, participants are encouraged to pursue posted Sales Engineer Level 2 or higher opportunities. Advancement may occur as experience, technical expertise, and responsibility grow. HPE describes its culture as inclusive and supportive of varied backgrounds, and offers benefits intended to support physical, financial, and emotional wellbeing, along with programs for personal and professional development. The company encourages applications from qualified individuals with disabilities and offers an accommodation request process for applicants who need disability-related assistance during the application or interview process.
