About The Position

Workday is seeking individuals with a passion for strategic prospecting, a curiosity for creative thinking, and the motivation to help advance Workday's mission. As part of the Sales Development team, you will connect with decision-makers through phone and email, building meaningful relationships with potential clients. You will introduce Workday's solutions to businesses and offer them new paths to operational efficiency and growth. The team is a collaborative community built on teamwork and forward thinking, surrounded by industry experts and innovators, with a focus on personal and professional development. As an Associate Sales Development Representative, you will deploy various prospecting approaches across target accounts, partnering with Account Executives to build quality opportunities for the Workday Sales Team. Your key role is to connect with potential customers and share value messaging while discovering the needs of the prospect and their organization. You will generate a quality pipeline through a combination of email, phone calls, marketing qualified leads, social selling, and face-to-face events, identifying qualified potential buyers and developing the relationship between the account and the broader Workday team.

Requirements

  • Have earned/will be earning a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university, with an expected graduation date between August 2026 and August 2027, to qualify for our early career program
  • Have less than one (1) year of professional/industry-specific experience
  • Are available to start a full-time position in February 2027, July 2027, September 2027, and report in-person to your assigned office
  • Shown experience/internships in prospecting, inside sales, business development, high technology exposure, marketing, direct sales, IT consulting

Nice To Haves

  • Participation in academic or organizational sales competitions or programs preferred
  • Knowledge of Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo a plus

Responsibilities

  • Deploying multi-channel prospecting strategies across target accounts, including phone, email, social selling, and in-person events
  • Partnering with our Account Executives to build and advance quality opportunities for Workday field sales
  • Contacting potential customers and sharing our value messaging while uncovering prospects' needs and organizational challenges
  • Identifying and qualifying potential buyers to help us generate a healthy and growing pipeline
  • Nurturing and developing relationships between prospective accounts and our Workday team
  • Responding to and qualifying marketing qualified leads in a timely and effective manner
  • Diligent to detail with a focus on staying organized while managing multiple prospecting activities and accounts simultaneously
