Associate Relationship Banker - Lansdowne Promenade Drive - Leesburg, VA
About The Position
As an Associate Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you represent the Chase brand and culture by providing welcoming, attentive service and using banking solutions and financial technology to support clients. You assist walk-in and scheduled clients, understand their financial needs, recommend suitable products and services, connect them with specialized experts, and contribute to the success of the branch. The role requires compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, and includes branch hours with weekends and some evenings. The position is subject to Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. An employment offer is contingent on JPMorgan Chase’s review of criminal conviction history, credit report, NMLS information, and other relevant information. A felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies candidates. Employment also requires NMLS registration or an update to an existing registration under the SAFE Act, successful registration immediately after the start date, and timely annual renewal and required updates thereafter.
Requirements
- Ability to create memorable client experiences and elevate the client experience.
- Excellent in-person and telephone communication skills, including the ability to tailor product and service features and benefits to clients with differing needs.
- Ability to resolve client issues quickly and effectively with attention to detail.
- Ability to operate within established risk parameters and meet internal and external risk and compliance obligations, including completing required training.
- High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
- Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
- Meet Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act Loan Originator qualification requirements; a felony conviction within the last seven years disqualifies candidates.
- Register with or update registration in the NMLS under the SAFE Act immediately after starting employment, and complete timely annual renewal and required updates.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of sales experience in Retail, Financial Services, or a related industry, with demonstrated success establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
- College degree or military equivalent.
- Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, friendly service and create a welcoming environment for clients.
- Communicate clearly, politely, and consultatively; ask questions and listen to understand and anticipate client needs.
- Assist walk-in and scheduled clients in person and over the phone, build relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
- Educate clients about and connect them to technology solutions, including the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs.
- Learn banking products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to consult with clients and connect them to experts for specialized financial needs.
- Follow policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
