About The Position

The Associate Recruiting Assistant is an integral part of Latham’s Associate Recruiting team. This role will be responsible for supporting key recruitment initiatives across the global associate recruiting team. This includes all phases of student engagement, entry-level hiring, summer associate program management, global operations and ongoing team and Recruiting Committee support. This role helps ensure the successful execution of recruiting initiatives and delivery of exceptional candidate experience. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.

Requirements

  • Exhibit well‑developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively at all organizational levels and work collaboratively in a team environment with a customer‑service focus
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion and strong attention to detail to ensure quality assurance
  • Possess strong organizational and analytical skills to manage time, prioritize tasks, handle multiple deadlines, and work with minimal supervision, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Previous professional experience, preferably

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the preparation and execution of US entry-level hiring activities, including candidate communications, reporting, and related administrative processes
  • Assisting with the planning and execution of the US Programs, including the Summer Program, which involves orientation planning, ad-hoc trainings, and communications
  • Supporting law school outreach and engagement programming, including managing recruiting inventory of promotional materials, swag orders, and shipment coordination
  • Generating and maintaining recruiting reports, presentations, dashboards, and other materials to support department initiatives
  • Assisting with the planning, preparation, and administration of Global Recruiting Committee meetings and related business activities
  • Processing expenses, invoices, and reimbursement requests associated with recruiting programs and events
  • Maintaining recruiting databases, records, and other program-related documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
