About The Position

The RBC Indigenous Development Program (IDP) is a two-year rotational program for recent college and university graduates or non-degreed applicants with work experience who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Metis) Peoples of Canada. The IDP combines practical, hands-on business experience with a customized learning plan, formal coaching, mentorship, community involvement and professional networking. In this Toronto-based role, you’ll kickstart your career by rotating through up to four different teams within our HR Learning function. You’ll work in an agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop learning solutions that drive business results and support the development of RBC’s people.

Requirements

  • Self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Metis) Peoples of Canada.
  • Be a recent college or university graduate or an applicant with transferable work experience.
  • Reside in the Toronto area and be able to commute into the downtown office each day.
  • Recent college or university graduate or non-degreed applicant with transferable work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with ability to translate insights and findings into clear, concise reports and stories for diverse audiences, including senior leadership.
  • Ability to promote department initiatives and learning solutions internally through data-backed storytelling and communications.
  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven, capable of identifying and communicating departmental wins and value proposition.
  • Experience with internal communications strategies or employee engagement initiatives.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of learning and pivoting quickly.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong data analytics capabilities including ability to analyze data from various sources, identify trends and patterns, and develop insights.
  • Ability to extract, clean, and transform data from multiple sources.
  • Experience with reporting and dashboard design tools.
  • Experience with Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Complete rotations across different HR Learning teams over a two-year period.
  • Take on group and individual projects while building expertise in learning development, analytics and insights.
