About The Position

The Associate Project Manager supports the end‑to‑end execution of customer projects from order entry through installation and closeout, serving as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders. This role ensures contractual, technical, schedule, and material requirements are met by leading order reviews, coordinating cross‑functional activities, managing schedules and logistics, supporting design and procurement, overseeing fabrication and delivery performance, resolving issues and nonconformances, and driving installation support, project closeout, and lessons learned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Business Management with a focus on project management, or related (Experience can substitute).
  • With bachelor’s degree 0–5 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project coordination (internships included)
  • Without bachelor’s degree – 5-10 years’ experience.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly, etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

  • PMI CAPM/PMP preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from order entry through installation and closeout, serving as the primary customer and internal point of contact.
  • Lead order reviews to verify contractual, technical, schedule, and material requirements.
  • Resolve discrepancies; allocate material; establish milestone billing; and confirm delivery and logistics expectations.
  • Coordinate customer communication, status reporting, P6 scheduling, meetings, inspections, and site visits.
  • Act as the liaison between Customer, Engineering, Procurement, Production Control, Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics throughout all project phases.
  • Support design and procurement by facilitating RFIs, approval drawings, subcontracted design efforts, requisitions, vendor coordination, and resolution of cost or scope variances.
  • Collaborate with Production Control to develop and maintain accurate project schedules, incorporating material readiness, inspections, and key milestones.
  • Monitor fabrication progress, material supply, vendor performance, nonconformances, and delivery execution, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Support shipping, documentation, and installation activities, manage field issues and NCRs, and lead post[1]installation closeout including as-built documentation and lessons learned.
  • Actively participate in internal projects, schedule, and financial review meetings.
  • Work closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives (lean manufacturing, cost reduction, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
  • Support procurement of materials and equipment as needed
