About The Position

The Associate Project Manager supports the Asset Management team, specifically focusing on lifecycle planning and infrastructure reliability functions. This role involves leveraging IBM Maximo (Enterprise Asset Management – EAM) to enhance asset lifecycle management and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include assisting with condition assessments, reviewing asset data, developing lifecycle forecasts and capital planning recommendations, and creating project scope documents. The position requires close collaboration with project managers, engineers, maintenance, planners, and operations staff to ensure accurate and effective asset information for data-driven decision-making throughout the asset lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of professional project management experience in the related occupational group including coordinating, administering, and monitoring projects.
  • One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
  • Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
  • Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
  • Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in civil or aviation infrastructure, transportation engineering, or construction management, with exposure to asset management principles, condition assessments, and lifecycle planning.
  • Experience with asset management software, capital planning tools, IoT integration, GIS, and digital facility models to support data-driven decisions.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems (preferably Maximo).
  • Experience to include managing asset records, location/asset hierarchies, job plans, PMs and work orders.
  • Basic understanding of capital planning, maintenance planning, or infrastructure management.
  • Familiarity with data visualization or reporting tools.
  • Experience procuring and managing professional services contracts, defining scopes aligned to strategic outcomes, and ensuring high-quality, usable deliverables including developing, prioritizing, and defending multi-year capital investment plans using risk, condition, and lifecycle data.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with experience gathering requirements, facilitating discussions, and converting input into structured project definitions or processes.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of asset condition assessments for airport facilities, systems and infrastructure, including coordinating site visits, tracking assessment progress, and documenting findings.
  • Oversee procurement, scoping, and administration of professional services contracts supporting condition assessments, lifecycle modeling, and data collection.
  • Review, organize, and analyze asset data related to condition, risk, lifecycle, and performance.
  • Develop maintenance, repair, and capital renewal recommendations based on condition assessment results and asset management standards.
  • Support capital planning reviews for new construction, rehabilitation, and expansion projects by validating asset condition assumptions, scope completeness, and long-term O&M impacts.
  • Engage stakeholders and delivery partners to gather requirements, validate needs, and translate conversations into structured project definitions and business cases.
  • Support cross functional meetings and collaborate with project managers, engineers, maintenance staff, and airport divisions to ensure alignment on recommendations.
  • Utilize Maximo to manage asset data, assist with configuration updates, testing, and system enhancements.
  • Support Maximo end users with troubleshooting, training, and adoption of Maximo tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance field knowledge with detailed document production, including strong skills in writing, analysis, and use of standard office tools.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple assignments, maintain organized documentation, and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience working in aviation, transportation, utilities, or large public infrastructure environments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
