We are seeking an Airport Operations Services Coordinator to join our DEN team. In this role, you are responsible for overseeing and coordinating air side and landside airport facility operations, with a strong focus on janitorial, window cleaning, pest control and related maintenance service contracts. The position ensures that contractors consistently comply with airport regulations, city policies, and contract requirements, while supporting the safe and efficient operation of airport facilities. A major part of the job involves monitoring contractor performance through regular inspections of airport facilities, identifying deficiencies, and directing corrective actions to restore proper service conditions. This includes reviewing and coordinating operational shutdown requests tied to maintenance activities such as janitorial services, window cleaning, pest control, port-o-lets and conveyance system work.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience reviewing, administering, and monitoring multiple service contracts in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • 1 year of experience working with contractors and vendors to evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), ensure contract compliance, and improve overall service performance.
  • Experience using Maximo, contract management systems, or similar work order and asset management software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Teams, with experience managing spreadsheets, databases, reports, and contract documentation.
  • Experience coordinating with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with program requirements, contract specifications, and operational objectives.
  • Ability to assess and respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively while coordinating contractor activities and maintaining operational continuity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, correspondence, and performance documentation, and effectively interact with contractors, airport staff, tenants, and the public.
  • Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
  • Three (3) years of administrative or technical support experience evaluating contracts for compliance with standards driven by some combination of service, performance, and financial criteria.
  • One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of education may be substituted for each required year of experience.
  • Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organize, and oversee airside/landside facility operations in accordance with airport and city rules and regulations
  • Ensures ongoing contract compliance with the contractors and coordinates work during emergency operations
  • Coordinates operations projects and maintenance activities as it relates to janitorial services and a variety of conveyance programs
  • Reviews and coordinates shutdown requests to support operational & maintenance activities related to janitorial, window cleaning, and conveyance services
  • Conducts airside and landside facility inspections to ensure contract standards are followed.
  • Directs corrections to ensure an appropriate return to service in the event of impactful circumstances
  • Trains and educating contractors, subcontractors, and airport staff on janitorial activities and best practices
  • Responds to complaints from the public, contractors, airport users, aviation businesses, and tenants.
  • Provides direction and assistance to passengers, and resolves problems and/or disputes in a courteous, professional, and knowledgeable manner
  • Reports on hazardous or substantial maintenance/construction problems.
  • Conducts inventory and audit of supplies and equipment required for contractor performance and tasks
  • Coordinates maintenance activities to correct all deficiencies
  • Coordinates administrative functions related to contract service agreements.
  • Maintain and manages metric reports, narratives, information databases, and required contract documentation
  • Provide status reports, and prepare forms and correspondence to ensure a seamless flow of the contracting performance
  • Performs on-site investigations and/or desk audits of contractors, providers, concessionaire facilities, and/or tenant facilities, reviews and analyzes reports generated by contractors or providers to confirm compliance with contract and rules and regulations and re-inspects as necessary to ensure compliance
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
