About The Position

Wiley University invites applications for a full-time faculty position supporting our undergraduate mathematics programs. We seek a dedicated scholar-educator passionate about delivering high-quality instruction in mathematics and helping students develop strong quantitative reasoning skills. Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution
  • Demonstrated ability or strong potential to deliver effective, student-centered instruction across various levels of mathematics
  • Excellent communication skills and commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment
  • Ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly and accessibly to students with varying levels of preparation
  • Willingness to engage collaboratively in curriculum review and departmental initiatives

Nice To Haves

  • Terminal degree (Ph.D.) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or related discipline
  • Previous college or university teaching experience, particularly at the undergraduate level
  • Experience with active learning strategies, technology-enhanced instruction, and innovative pedagogical approaches in mathematics
  • Record of scholarly activity, research engagement, or relevant professional experience
  • Ability to teach across multiple subdisciplines within mathematics and support interdisciplinary programs

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate courses in mathematics, which may include College Algebra, Precalculus, Calculus I–III, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, and/or Mathematics for Elementary Teachers
  • Utilize effective pedagogical strategies to engage diverse learners and promote conceptual understanding alongside computational proficiency
  • Provide academic mentoring and professional guidance to support student development and mathematical confidence
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, assessment practices, and continuous program improvement
  • Actively participate in departmental, college, and university service activities
  • Engage in ongoing scholarship and professional development to maintain disciplinary currency and pedagogical effectiveness
  • Report to the Department Chair or designated administrator and contribute to departmental goals
