About The Position

The Associate Platform Engineer executes the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of internal platforms that enable secure, scalable software delivery. Working under guidance, this role collaborates with technical teams and applies to modern cloud technologies, automation, DevOps, SRE practices, integration, web hosting, and middleware alongside data platform management and identity governance. It delivers standardized, automated self service workflows, adheres to platform guardrails and observability, and continuously improves reliability, compliance, security, and cost across hybrid and multi cloud environments to meet organizational needs while reducing developer cognitive load. Experienced professional • Performs professional-level research and analysis in the field of specialization. • Proposes solutions to moderately complex problems in the field of specialization. • Seeks common ground and negotiates issues with internal and/or external clients to recommend for higher-level approval • Provides knowledge-based guidance to more junior staff within the job area • Requires practical application of professional knowledge at a broad-based level to complete difficult assignments.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing automation and robotic process solutions to improve operational efficiency and system reliability.
  • Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, including the development, deployment, and maintenance of automated software delivery processes.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance principles, technology controls, risk management, and compliance requirements within enterprise environments.
  • Experience with configuration management tools and practices to support scalable, consistent, and secure infrastructure deployments.
  • Advanced expertise in cloud computing technologies, architectures, and services across enterprise-scale environments.
  • Proven experience applying DevOps principles and practices to improve collaboration, automation, system performance, and service delivery.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages used to automate processes, develop applications, and support infrastructure operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of operating systems administration, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and security best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including observability, incident management, reliability metrics, and service performance optimization.
  • Experience managing and administering databases, including performance tuning, monitoring, backup, recovery, and data integrity management.
  • Advanced expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and tools to provision, configure, and manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Strong experience installing, configuring, and maintaining middleware platforms to support enterprise applications and integrations.
  • Ability to build consensus, influence stakeholders, and effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex issues, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.

Responsibilities

  • SAP ECC to S/4 Conversions
  • Migration from on-premise to hybrid-cloud architecture using BTP and Azure
  • Daily S4/HANA Engineering, Management and Administration (Basis)
  • Support for periodic Month, Quarter, End of year financial closing
  • Support HANA database system operations including H/A, DR and performance tuning
  • Testing suite integration using Tosca and cALM
  • Management of BTP, Cloud Connectors, Interfaces
  • Technical controls maintenance and audit remediation, ICFR Compliance
  • Develops, implements, and supports scalable platform solutions to enhance system performance and reliability
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define platform requirements and ensure alignment with project goals and business objectives
  • Executes platform design reviews and provides input on best practices
  • Participates in the evaluation and integration of new technologies to optimize platform capabilities and drive innovation
  • Helps monitor system performance and troubleshoots issues promptly to maintain uptime
  • Performs regular assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of platform solutions and proactively identify areas for improvement
  • Supports collaboration with security teams to implement and maintain platform security measures, ensuring compliance with best practices
  • Executes vulnerability assessments and contributes to the development of remediation strategies
