About The Position

The Platform Engineer designs, builds, and manages scalable platforms that support application development and system delivery across on-premises, cloud, and containerized environments. This role establishes and maintains automation, deployment pipelines, and platform standards to enable reliable, efficient software delivery. It drives consistency across tools and environments while reducing operational toil through automation and continuous improvement. The Platform Engineer applies solid functional knowledge and sound judgment to deliver dependable, high-quality work with minimal direction. Team members at this level manage moderately complex responsibilities, balance priorities effectively, and contribute meaningful insights that support team and functional performance. They are trusted to navigate varied situations, identify improvement opportunities, and operate with increasing autonomy.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED with 7 years relevant experience required.
Bachelor's Degree with 3 years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Designs, implements, and manages platform infrastructure across on-premises, cloud, and containerized environments to support application delivery and system reliability.
Develops and maintains CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and configuration management practices to enable consistent, automated deployments.
Partners with development and technology teams to enable application onboarding, environment provisioning, and production readiness.
Implements and optimizes monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to improve system visibility and operational response.
Leads continuous improvement of platform tools, processes, and standards to enhance efficiency, scalability, and reliability of software delivery.
Supports platform lifecycle activities including upgrades, capacity planning, and production stability through proactive analysis and solutioning.
Manages assigned work with minimal direction delivering a high degree of accuracy, quality and timely completion.
Applies functional knowledge and judgment to evaluate information and make informed decisions.
Anticipates needs, manages competing priorities, and proactively communicates status or risks.
Supports process improvements by identifying gaps and recommending practical solutions.
Collaborates effectively across teams to advance shared goals and business outcomes.
Serves as a resource to less experienced team members through informal guidance.
