About The Position

The Advana team is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their program. Advana is the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office’s (CDAO) enterprise-wide, multi-domain data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI) platform that provides all DoD military and civilian decision makers, analysts, and builders with unprecedented access to enterprise data, tools, and capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • TS/SCI Security clearance level

Responsibilities

  • Supports the integration, configuration, and sustainment of Advana platform tools and services across Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret enclaves in alignment with Advana architecture guidance and mission system objectives.
  • Executes platform development activities by implementing modular components, infrastructure utilities, and service integrations under senior engineering direction.
  • Contributes to continuous delivery operations by maintaining CI/CD pipeline configurations, updating deployment workflows, and supporting automated quality gates aligned with Advana DevSecOps Factory practices.
  • Participates in platform monitoring using logging dashboards, audit utilities, performance metrics, and security telemetry to identify anomalies, troubleshoot incidents, and restore operational stability across cloud and on-premise mission spaces.
  • Develops technical documentation, runbooks, and onboarding materials that support developer adoption, cross-team integration, and platform operational continuity.
  • Supports evaluation and integration of commercial, government, and open-source tools by conducting compatibility assessments and implementing approved configurations that align with Advana interoperability standards.
  • Contributes to testing cycles by validating platform updates, executing functional and non-functional test cases, and documenting results that inform release readiness decisions.
  • Participates in stakeholder engagements with engineering teams, vendors, and mission partners to strengthen tool adoption and platform usability.
  • Advances Advana program value by contributing to scalable platform workflows, increased development velocity, and improved system reliability across all security domains.
