About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch in Oakhurst, California. This frontline position builds customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with suitable banking products, services, and digital tools to help them manage their finances. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while working with branch teammates to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. It offers training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The position also supports branch operations by flexing between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support. The schedule includes Saturdays. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo initiates the registration process after the start date. Loan Originators must meet applicable LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.
Must comply with applicable Wells Fargo risk, compliance, and operational policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort following structured processes and accuracy and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by calls, emails, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customer needs.
Comfort with digital tools and technology, ability to learn new systems quickly, and ability to guide customers in adopting banking capabilities.

Coordinate with branch teammates and make seamless handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Follow applicable policies and procedures, meet risk and compliance obligations, and escalate and remediate issues appropriately.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities to support branch operations.
