About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch in Terrell, Texas. In this frontline role, you will build customer relationships and support everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. You will learn about customers’ goals and connect them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while partnering with branch teammates to provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Success in the position requires relationship-building, sound judgment, and balancing customer service with business growth. The role offers training and coaching to support career development and mobility. You will flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, with a focus on account openings and ongoing account support. The schedule includes Saturdays. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date. Loan Originator requirements and Wells Fargo screening and compliance standards apply. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the registration process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards concerning financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.
Ability to follow policies and regulations and identify and escalate risk concerns.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort following structured processes and accuracy and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by calls, emails, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify ways to support customer needs.
Comfort using digital tools and technology, learning new systems quickly, and guiding customers in adopting banking capabilities.
Ability to identify customer needs and connect them with appropriate solutions, including referrals when additional expertise is needed.
Ability to collaborate with teammates and partners to resolve customer needs and deliver a seamless experience.

Responsibilities

Lead discovery-driven conversations to understand customer needs and connect customers with relevant banking products, services, and solutions.
Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to meet customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including new account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
Perform cash handling and teller-line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service while exercising sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, including account openings and ongoing account support.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; identify, escalate, and help remediate issues.
