About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch in Rock Springs, Wyoming. This frontline role builds customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with relevant banking products, services, and digital tools to help them manage their finances. The role supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while working with branch teammates to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. It combines relationship building and service with branch growth, sound judgment, and compliance with operational and risk controls. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The position requires a schedule that includes Saturdays and flexibility between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date. Loan originators must meet applicable LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards, including requirements related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, and additional ongoing screening may apply. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
Ability to support branch operations by flexing between cash handling and customer banking activities.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after the start date.
Loan originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.
Must comply with applicable Wells Fargo policies and risk and compliance requirements.

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort following structured processes and accuracy and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by phone, email, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customer needs.
Comfort with digital tools and technology, ability to learn new systems quickly, and ability to guide customers in adopting useful capabilities.

Perform cash handling and teller-line activities, processing transactions accurately and following compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance customer experience and support banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, supporting account openings and ongoing account needs.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; identify, escalate, and remediate issues as appropriate.
