About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch in Jacksonville, Florida. This frontline role builds customer relationships by supporting everyday banking needs through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with appropriate banking products, services, and digital tools to help them manage their finances. The position supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while collaborating with branch teammates to provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience. Success requires relationship-building, sound judgment, and balancing service with growth. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The role includes branch operations, cash handling, and teller-line activities, with work schedules that include Saturdays. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date. Loan Originators must meet applicable LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies, including standards related to financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.
Ability to comply with applicable risk and compliance requirements and make sound risk decisions.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated customer-facing role, with comfort following structured processes and accuracy and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by calls, emails, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customer needs.
Comfort using digital tools and technology, ability to learn new systems quickly, and ability to guide customers in adopting helpful capabilities.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to meet customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including new account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
Handle cash and perform teller-line activities, processing transactions accurately and maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance customer experiences and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates and coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities to support branch operations and account support.
Follow applicable risk and compliance programs, policies, and procedures; escalate and remediate issues as appropriate.
