About The Position

Wells Fargo is hiring an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for its National Branch in Lincoln, Nebraska. This frontline role builds customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. The banker learns about customers’ goals and connects them with suitable banking products, services, and digital tools. The role supports account openings, service requests, credit applications, and cash transactions while coordinating with branch teammates to provide a consistent customer experience. Success requires strong relationship-building, sound judgment, and balancing customer service with growth. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The schedule includes Saturdays. The position flexes between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on account openings and ongoing account support. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date. Loan Originators must satisfy applicable LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo standards. A credit report may be reviewed, and additional ongoing screening may apply. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the registration process after the start date.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies, including financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background standards.
Candidates must provide accurate information and supporting documentation for lawful employment and education verification.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated, customer-facing role, with comfort following structured processes and meeting accuracy and service expectations.
Experience building trust-based customer relationships through active listening, follow-up, and consistent engagement.
Comfort initiating outreach by phone, email, or other channels to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities to support customers.
Comfort with digital tools and technology, ability to learn new systems quickly, and ability to guide customers in using relevant capabilities.
