About The Position

A Personal Banker delivers excellent customer service, opens deposit accounts such as checking, savings, certificates of deposit, and individual retirement accounts, resolves customer service issues, and cross-sells bank products and services. The role also processes routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check issuance, and works on the teller line as needed.

The position is based at 510 W Mt Vernon Blvd, Mt Vernon, MO 65712. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with rotating Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. It is full-time, averaging 40 hours per week.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of retail banking experience, including new-account and teller transactions.
• Excellent customer service and strong communication skills.
• Strong mathematical, problem-solving, and computer skills.
• Effective multitasking and organizational skills.
• Willingness to proactively cross-sell bank products and services.

• Three to five years of personal banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Open checking, savings, certificate of deposit, individual retirement, and other deposit accounts.
