About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch in Pierre, South Dakota. In this frontline role, the banker builds customer relationships through in-branch interactions, scheduled conversations, and proactive outreach. They learn about customers’ goals and connect them with appropriate banking products, services, and digital tools to help manage their finances. The position supports account openings, service requests, and credit applications while partnering with branch teammates to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience. It requires relationship-building, sound judgment, and the ability to balance customer service with branch growth. Wells Fargo provides training and coaching to support career growth and mobility. The schedule includes Saturdays. The employee flexes between cash handling and customer banking activities, with an emphasis on service through account openings and ongoing account support. SAFE registration is required at employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date. Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and Wells Fargo policies concerning financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background. A credit report may be reviewed, excluding the credit score, and additional ongoing screening may apply. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience interacting with customers, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education, or a combination of these.
Ability to work a schedule that includes Saturdays.
SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo initiates the process after the start date.
Loan Originators must meet LO/CFPB requirements and comply with Wells Fargo policies concerning financial responsibility, character, fitness, and criminal background.

Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and make appropriate referrals to support branch growth and customer and business goals.
Support everyday banking needs, including new account openings, service requests, and credit applications.
Perform cash handling and teller-line activities, accurately processing transactions while maintaining compliance and operational standards.
Use and adopt digital tools and technologies to enhance the customer experience and support evolving banking needs.
Deliver accurate, compliant service and exercise sound judgment within defined risk controls.
Collaborate with branch teammates to coordinate handoffs to licensed bankers or other specialists.
Flex between cash handling and customer banking activities, supporting account openings and ongoing account needs.
Follow applicable risk programs, policies, and procedures; escalate and remediate issues as appropriate.
