Associate Patient Services Specialist - Patient Access
About The Position
Under the direction of the PAS manager, the Registration Representative I assists patients with on-site registration and arrival processes for scheduled and unscheduled visits. For unscheduled visits, this position completes registration by collecting accurate demographic and insurance information and collecting patient liability, if known, before the time of service. The role also includes miscellaneous client service activities, such as collecting valuables and providing basic customer service. The representative greets and serves patients professionally, warmly, and respectfully to promote positive encounters. The position is with St. Mary Medical Center and supports Providence’s patient-focused, whole-person care approach.
Requirements
- Experience in medical management computer applications.
Nice To Haves
- One year of health care business office experience or experience in a related field.
- Three years of registration experience.
- Familiarity with basic financial clearance functions.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Responsibilities
