Associate Patient Care Tech - Obstetrics - Days Full Time
About The Position
The Associate Patient Care Tech works in the Obstetrics / Postpartum Unit at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, California. This full-time position works 12-hour day shifts. Under general supervision by an RN, the Patient Care Tech provides basic nursing care for in-patients and out-patients as needed within the assigned area, collects and reports information to the supervising RN, and completes patient-care-related documentation. Providence Mission Hospital has received Magnet designation in 2012, 2017, and 2021 and is working toward a fourth designation in 2025. Requirements
- For hires after 10/31/16, complete a CNA program, the first semester of a nursing program, or an EMT program.
- Upon hire, hold National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Have experience with basic data entry.
Nice To Haves
- EKG training.
- One year of acute patient care experience or six months of experience in a direct patient care environment.
