About The Position

Clayton Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor of Worship and Music whose primary focus is to oversee the worship and music ministry for the entire congregation. This position requires a dynamic and engaging leader who can inspire and nurture the spiritual growth of Clayton Baptist Church through music. Requirements

• Affirms the Statement of Faith of Clayton Baptist Church
• Previous experience in worship and music ministry
• Passionate about leading worship with focus on God and not performance

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in music or a related Seminary degree

Responsibilities

• Oversee the various music ministries of CBC including, but not limited to, adult choir, adult worship band, youth worship band, Children’s choirs, handbells, ensembles, etc.
• Coordinate the worship music for every Sunday service and all special services and programs
• Collaborate with Senior Pastor on music selections to enhance the theme of the worship services
• Responsible for the selection, approval, and purchase of all music for leading worship and special programs
• Collaborate with technical support team, ushers/volunteers, other pastors, and ministry directors to ensure smooth flow of worship services
• Responsible for ministering to the needs of those who participate in various music ministries/programs through prayer, fellowship, and spiritual encouragement
• Stay informed on current trends and best practices in worship and music and implement strategies to engage and connect church and community
• Manage the worship and music ministry budget and resources with fiscal responsibility
• Other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor
