About The Position

The Associate Optometrist ensures patients receive high-quality eye and vision care and supports their general health and well-being. As a primary health care provider, the optometrist examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases, injuries, and disorders of the visual system, eyes, and associated structures. The role is also a key leader in the practice, collaborating with the team to deliver the brand promise, a positive patient experience, and strong practice results and growth.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school or college of optometry.
• Licensed to practice optometry in the state where the position is located.
• DPA and TPA certified.
• Knowledge of current optometric technology and practices.
• Strong verbal and listening communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality optometric care and services to patients.
• Establish positive doctor-patient relationships.
• Conduct services in accordance with clinical protocols and accepted standards of care.
• Ensure patients receive accurate diagnoses and appropriate recommendations.
• Use available technology effectively to deliver excellent patient and customer experiences.
• Work with the store or practice team and Target Optical Field Leadership to foster a safe and motivating work environment that supports commitment, innovation, success, and brand growth.
• Ensure office quality systems are maintained.
• Build relationships through leadership, participation, and involvement.
• Provide clear, motivating, and effective training and guidance to team members using company-provided programs.
• Strive to exceed key performance indicators and performance expectations.
• Help establish the brand as the leading optical provider in the community.
