About The Position

Target Optical is seeking an independent Doctor of Optometry to operate a private practice alongside a Luxottica-operated optical dispensary. The doctor provides optometric care and services to patients, sets their own professional fee schedule, and retains the revenue from professional services delivered. The practice offers professional autonomy, with scope of practice determined by the doctor and no company-imposed restrictions, interference, or quotas.

Practice arrangements and schedules are flexible, including part-time commitments and the option to add to an existing practice schedule. The rent agreement includes a furnished office and well-equipped exam lane(s), as well as an online appointment book and patient recall system. The independent practice model is described as allowing entry into practice with minimal financial risk or obligations, and brand-supplied onboarding support is available from the first exam.

The role is affiliated with Luxottica, which handles the business concerns of the optical dispensary so the doctor can focus on patient care. Affiliated optometrists are eligible to participate in OneSight’s global vision-care mission.
