About The Position

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is seeking an Associate, Non-Self-Sustaining Advisor in Miami, Florida. This role involves creating comprehensive wealth management plans for ultra-high net worth individuals and families, primarily in Mexico, as well as select institutions. The advisor will formulate investment views, discuss market trends and the firm's investment thesis across all global asset classes, and advise clients on customized strategies. Responsibilities include supporting existing client relationships, sourcing new business, and developing a network of intermediaries in the Mexican market. The role requires delivering the firm's investment platform, including tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning, and private banking/lending services. Asset allocation strategies and holistic wealth advisory recommendations are key components of this position.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
  • Prior employment must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s) with: growing client base and expanding revenues for a project or venture; networking with ultra-high net worth individuals, scheduling meetings with potential investors, and building relationships in the process; raising capital from investors in Mexico and LatAM; managing the operations and logistics of a venture; financial and Cash management; and holding investor calls to update on the status of a venture or investment.
  • Fluency in Spanish required to communicate with Mexican clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with public equities, fixed income, option derivative securities, foreign currencies, hedge funds, real estate, private equity and bank lending.
  • Experience with tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services.

Responsibilities

  • Create comprehensive wealth management plans for ultra-high net worth individuals and families predominantly based in Mexico, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments.
  • Formulate and express investment views for clients' portfolios, fielding questions on market trends and the Firm's investment thesis for the future.
  • Work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies.
  • Support existing client relationships.
  • Source and develop new business opportunities and a strong network of intermediaries in the local Mexico market.
  • Deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of the firm's US-based trading authorization and beyond.
  • Create asset allocation strategies and holistic wealth advisory recommendations to clients.
