About The Position

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is seeking an Associate, Non-Self-Sustaining Advisor in Miami, Florida. This role involves working one-on-one with clients to provide advice and deliver customized strategies. The primary focus is on creating comprehensive wealth management plans for ultra-high net worth individuals and families, predominantly based in Argentina or Uruguay, as well as select institutions like foundations and endowments. The position requires delivering an unparalleled investment platform, including the firm's full product and service offerings, which may extend to tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning, and private banking and lending services. Responsibilities include formulating and expressing investment views, fielding questions on market conditions in English and Spanish, and outlining the firm's investment thesis across all global asset classes. The role also involves creating asset allocation strategies, providing holistic wealth advisory recommendations, supporting existing client relationships, and sourcing new business opportunities by developing a strong network of intermediaries in the local Argentina or Uruguay market.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
  • Prior employment must include one (1) year of experience (with a Master’s) or three (3) years of experience (with a Bachelor’s) with: growing client base and expanding revenues for a project or venture; networking with ultra-high net worth individuals, scheduling meetings with potential investors, and building relationships in the process; raising capital from investors in Latin America; managing the operations and logistics of a venture; financial and Cash management; and holding investor calls to update on the status of a venture or investment.
  • Fluency in Spanish required to communicate with Latin American clients.

Responsibilities

  • Work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies.
  • Create comprehensive wealth management plans for ultra-high net worth individuals and families predominantly based in Argentina or Uruguay, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments.
  • Deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of the firm's US-based trading authorization and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services.
  • Formulate and express investment views for clients' portfolios, fielding questions in English and Spanish on what is happening in the markets, and outlining the Firm's investment thesis for the future, which encompasses all global asset classes, including public equities, fixed income, option derivative securities, foreign currencies, hedge funds, real estate, private equity and bank lending.
  • Create asset allocation strategies and holistic wealth advisory recommendations to clients.
  • Support existing client relationships, as well as source and develop new business opportunities and a strong network of intermediaries in the local Argentina or Uruguay market.
