About the position
The job overview for the role of Associate MLOps Engineer is to own and manage the production pipeline for all data science jobs, working closely with the data science team to create and monitor pipelines. The role also involves scaling solutions around data volumes, budget, SLAs, and infrastructure, as well as taking ownership of the CI/CD pipeline. The Associate MLOps Engineer will collaborate with other squads to develop data handoffs and interface with external systems to extract data. The ideal candidate should have a strong DevOps mentality, be a continuous learner, and have experience with cloud/GCP and big data. A master's degree in Computer Science or Data Science is preferred, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Own production pipeline for all DS jobs
- Work closely with data science on new pipelines
- Create monitoring solutions around all aspects of pipeline
- Scale solutions around data volumes, budget, SLAs, infrastructure
- CI/CD pipeline ownership
- Help Architect necessary data handoffs to other squads
- Develop and mentor best practices within Impact
- Interface with external systems to extract data
- Operate independently, research new technologies, champion solutions
- Collaborate cross squad to develop various data handoffs
- Strong DevOps mentality: Knowledge of making a complicated pipeline simple and easy to maintain, with proven experience of Terraform/Spark
