About The Position

As an Associate Merchandising Analyst, you will negotiate and close gross profit opportunities and negotiate and execute promotional merchandising programs for independent retailers. You will work closely with the vendor and broker community. The role includes maintaining item and vendor data integrity, reconciling vendor rebate programs, supporting inventory resolution, and collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and retail customers. Travel is not required. The work environment is an office with a temperature of 65°F to 75°F.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
• Bachelor's degree in General Studies.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of experience; wholesale or retail industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and execute promotional merchandising programs with vendors and manufacturers, including weekly ads, biannual food shows, and marketing events.
• Negotiate opportunities with vendors and manufacturers to maximize profitable inventories by creating logistical and administrative efficiencies.
• Learn to use various systems and reports for daily work.
• Manage reconciliation of vendor rebate programs to ensure accurate and timely payments from vendors.
• Set up and maintain item and vendor data integrity, including pricing, item accuracy and changes, item assortment, category marketing information, and lost-income resolution.
• Work on special projects with Senior Analysts and Managers, such as representing the division on weekly conference calls, coordinating food shows, supporting retail merchandising, and other projects.
• Work cross-functionally with the Procurement team to resolve excess inventory.
• Interface with other C&S departments, vendors, and retail customers to resolve invoicing or deduction-management issues.
