About The Position

The Merchandising Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store. The associate adheres to operational, merchandise, loss prevention, labor, and safety standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately processes customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and processes merchandise for the sales floor according to company standards. The associate participates in store recovery, cleanliness, shrink-reduction, and safety activities, provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following established customer experience practices.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• May be cross-trained to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.
